Samuel Ojosnegros had the honour to present the first scientific talk at the XII Congress of the Association for the Study of Biology of Reproduction (ASEBIR). Among other topics, he stood out HYLIGHT Project and its advances.
The latest ASEBIR Congress, held from 15-17 November in Palma de Mallorca in Spain, counted with the presence of several national and international renowned professionals in the field of reproductive biology. In vitro embryonic development, use of artificial uterus, epigenetic implications in cryopreservation, testicular organoids and embryo selection were only some of the several topics treated during the event.
Samuel Ojosnegros took the opportunity to present HYLIGHT Project and focused his talk on the latest progresses, that are very promising. He outlined the results that strongly support that the proposed technology to select embryos, combining hyperspectral imaging and artificial intelligence, is very robust and reproducible. The approach is based on the characterization of embryo metabolism, observed in near-real-time 4D images, and allows professionals to select embryos in a safe, robust, and label-free way.
